Loryn Duke has a diverse work experience in the field of communications. Loryn started their career at KBCO FM 97.3, where they worked in promotions from 1999 to 2001. Loryn then moved to SKI Magazine as an Online Coordinator from January to September 2002. After that, Loryn joined Snowshoe Mountain Resort as a PR Coordinator in 2002, before transitioning to Purgatory Resort as the Director of Communications from 2003 to 2008. Loryn'sroles at Purgatory Resort included overseeing the PR department and managing communication strategies.

In 2008, Loryn joined Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, where they held various positions, including Public Relations Manager and Director of Communications. As the Director of Communications, Loryn played a crucial role in transforming the department from traditional PR to a full Communications Team. Loryn was responsible for strategic planning and execution, internal and external communications, crisis communications, government relations, community relations, development communications, social media, content creation, and more. Loryn also played a key role in advocating for Employer-Based Child Care, which opened in 2022.

Loryn Duke attended Cherry Creek High School from 1994 to 1998. Following high school, they enrolled at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1998 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.
