Sebastian Funke

Sebastian Funke has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sebastian is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of The Stryze Group, a leading Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand holding company. At The Stryze Group, Sebastian develops and scales D2C brands for both "pull" e-commerce platforms like Amazon and other platforms, as well as "push" e-commerce through social media. Sebastian builds their own brands and acquires promising brands from outside entrepreneurs to elevate them with their domain expertise, manpower, and capital.

Prior to their current role, Sebastian was the Co-Founder and Board Member of Myos, a FinTech company founded in 2018. Myos aimed to help online and offline retailers achieve tailored, fully digital, and flexible growth by pioneering new ways of evaluating risks and securities made possible by e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon.

Before Myos, Sebastian was a Founding Partner at SpringtechPartners, where they focused on founding digital companies with a specialization in Platform Commerce, Social Media/Video, and B2B. Springtech Partners, based in Berlin, Germany, and Miami, USA, financed its companies' growth through its own cash flows or partnerships with leading venture capital firms.

Sebastian also served as an Investor and Board Member at vermietet.de, a property management platform that revolutionized the industry by helping landlords manage their properties online, including data, documents, finances, service booking, and emergency support.

Continuing their entrepreneurial journey, Sebastian was the Co-Founder and Board Member of StoYo Media, a company founded in 2015, and Co-Founder and Board Member of Gourmesso (Nero Commerce UG / Coffee Capsules Inc.), established in 2012.

In the earlier stages of their career, Sebastian established himself as a Co-Founder and CEO of Smeet Communications GmbH from 2006 to 2017. Sebastian also served as a Senior Advisor to Clipperton Finance, a role they held from 2015 to 2016.

Sebastian gained valuable early experience through internships at McKinsey & Company Deutschland as a Summer Intern in 2005 and at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Summer Financial Analyst in 2004.

Sebastian Funke completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Business Administration) from multiple institutions. From 2002 to 2006, they attended WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management for their MBA. In 2004, they also pursued an MBA from the University of Deusto. Additionally, in the same year, they briefly attended Texas A&M University for their MBA studies.
