Ruth Solomon currently serves as the MAPS External Affairs Coordinator for the Student National Medical Association, focusing on branding initiatives and social media engagement to enhance MAPS visibility among premedical students. With extensive experience as a mentee and member of the Youth Advisory Council for SisterMentors, Ruth has developed leadership skills while benefiting from guidance from mentors. Ruth's research at VCU Health Pauley Heart Center involved studying large language models in cardiovascular oncology, complemented by previous volunteer work in the Inova Health System emergency department and clinical shadowing at Girum Hospital in Ethiopia. Additionally, Ruth founded the Ethiopian-Eritrean Association to support students and raise awareness for ongoing conflicts in that region. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Data Science at William & Mary, Ruth combines academic dedication with practical experience in healthcare and community advocacy.
