Meg Whiteford

Meg Whiteford is an experienced editor and copywriter currently serving as an Editor at The Studio Museum in Harlem since July 2021. Prior to this role, Whiteford worked as a freelance writer from May 2015 to May 2021, where notable projects included editing "Russell and Mary Wright: Dragon Rock at Manitoga" and various publications for LGBTQ+ archives and feminist organizations. Whiteford also held the position of Copywriter at Friends of the High Line from 2018 to June 2020, managing an online magazine and creating various forms of written content. As Managing Editor for The Art Book Review from May 2015 to May 2018, Whiteford commissioned and edited numerous pieces on artist books. Additionally, Whiteford has experience as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at several institutions, teaching subjects including theater and creative writing. Meg Whiteford earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Writing for Performance from the California Institute of the Arts between 2013 and 2015.
