William Barry

William Barry is currently a Board Member at The Sun Exchange. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Parent Giving at Deerfield Academy from July 2008 to July 2015. In this role, they researched best practices and instituted new donor engagement and solicitation models for the Academy. William also managed campaigns that generated over $30 million in capital, endowment, and unrestricted gifts. In addition, they coached the Boys Junior Varsity Tennis team.

From December 1999 to December 2003, Barry served as VP, International / General Manager, Latin America for Gemstar-TV Guide. In this role, they led marketing for TV Guide’s interactive applications in Latin America and Spain. William also identified key accounts, developed market penetration and pricing strategies for product launch, negotiated licensing terms, software features, and data provision services, and managed product quality standards and product design requirements. William coordinated product development with Product Management teams.

From January 1998 to December 1998, Barry served as Vice President, Latin America Business Development for Turner International. From January 2004 to June 2008, they served as Managing Member for Springbac Worldwide, LLC.

William Barry earned their Master of International Relations from Syracuse University, with a focus on international relations and affairs. William also has a Master of Education from the University of New England, specializing in educational leadership. Additionally, they have an IMBA from the University of South Carolina in international business. William's undergraduate degree is in economics from the University of Florida.
