Elina Staaf, PhD, is a Patent Engineer at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office since January 2018, primarily evaluating patent applications in biotechnology. Elina completed a comprehensive patent training and is qualified as a patent engineer. Prior experience includes roles as Project Coordinator at SciLifeLab, Postdoctoral Fellow at Karolinska Institutet and the National Institute of Radiological Sciences, and Researcher at Uppsala University, with expertise in cellular effects of ionizing radiation and receptor dynamics in immune cells. Elina earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics (Radiation Biology) from Stockholm University, where earlier studies included a Licentiate degree and a Master's in Biotechnology.
