James Burton

James Burton is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in the business sector of media. Currently serving as the Deputy Business Editor at The Telegraph since September 2019, James oversees a team responsible for delivering significant news stories and exceptional reporting. Prior to this role, James was the Business News Editor and Chief City Correspondent at the Daily Mail, where coverage focused on major financial stories, particularly in banking and economics. Earlier career highlights include serving as the Banking Correspondent and Business Editor at Hull Daily Mail, known as Yorkshire's best-selling newspaper. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Jesus College, University of Cambridge, obtained between 2008 and 2011.
