James Xue

James Xue is an accomplished leader in the biopharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, currently serving as Deputy Director General at both the Shanghai Foundation for Rare Disease and the China Alliance for Rare Disease since 2018. As Chairman, President, and CEO of CANbridge Pharmaceuticals Inc. since 2012, James has driven the development of specialty healthcare products in China and North Asia. Prior experience includes roles as Venture Partner at Tullis Health Investors and President and Founder of CANbridge Consulting LLC, alongside significant contributions at Genzyme Corporation, where James held multiple leadership positions, notably as Senior Director of the Genzyme Business Excellence Initiative and General Manager of Genzyme China. James holds a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from Brown University, an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and has completed an Executive Program at INSEAD.
