Ayan Mittra

Ayan Mittra is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in editorial roles, currently serving as Senior Managing Editor at Texas Tribune since January 2012. Prior to this position, Ayan held the role of Editor/Web Editor at The Dallas Morning News for over a decade, where responsibilities included supervising reporters, editing stories, and enhancing online presence. Ayan also gained invaluable experience as Copy Editor/Assistant Political Editor/Web Editor at The Dallas Morning News, focusing on political coverage and fact-checking during national elections. Earlier career experiences include an editing internship with The Kansas City Star and a reporting position at The Daily Texan. Ayan holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
