Kate McGee

Kate McGee is a seasoned journalist specializing in higher education reporting, currently serving at the Texas Tribune since October 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a higher education reporter at Chicago Public Media and education reporter positions at WAMU 88.5 and KUT Radio. Early career highlights feature news anchoring and reporting at Reno Public Radio and WFUV, where McGee won multiple awards, including the Gracie Allen Award and the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Award.
