Markus Ristich

For years, Markus Ristich has been a key player in the VFX industry’s transition to virtual production, bridging the gap between fully-rendered CG done in large VFX studios and the gritty on-set live-action world.

In 2019, he left MPC’s Genesis team — the pipeline used on The Jungle Book and The Lion King — and built Mercury, The Third Floor’s end-to-end virtual production toolkit. He currently works as CTO at The Third Floor, Inc, the world’s largest previsualization company, integrating real-time feedback in early production stages for filmmakers seeking to visualize complex CG scenes.
