Karina Aslanyan

Karina Aslanyan is a writer with experience at Dollars & Sense and The Ticker, where multimedia articles are pitched and written. Currently serving as Editor In Chief at Encounters Magazine, a student-run publication at Baruch College, Karina has been involved for over a year and previously held the position of Managing Editor. In addition to writing, Karina has experience as a private tutor, working with students from 3rd to 9th grade in subjects including Math, English, Social Studies, and Spanish since October 2019. Prior experience includes serving as an Academic Tutor at Bright Leadership Academy, where tutoring was provided for children in 1st to 4th grade. Karina holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Creative Writing from Baruch College, with double minors in Women & Gender Studies and English, obtained from 2019 to 2023.
