Sonia Kalo

Editor-in-chief at The Ticker

Sonia Kalo is an accomplished journalist and editor currently serving as the Managing Editor at The Ticker since November 2022, overseeing section editors and ensuring quality across all content. Previous roles at The Ticker include News Editor and Associate News Editor, where Sonia honed skills in researching, editing, and fact-checking articles. Additionally, Sonia is the President of the Fan Society at Baruch, where leadership and organizational skills are utilized to manage club operations and budgets. As a co-founder of a music appreciation club and former Vice President, Sonia demonstrated initiative and teamwork in establishing student organizations. Academic pursuits include a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at Baruch College, building on a solid foundation with a Regents Diploma in Humanities and Non-profit Management from Bayside High School.
