David Avery has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of advertising and marketing. David has worked for various companies in different roles throughout their career. From 1984 to 1986, Avery worked as an Account Executive at Carden & Cherry Advertising. David then moved on to Malone Advertising, where they held the same position from 1986 to 1988. Following that, they joined Leslie Advertising as an Account Executive from 1988 to 1989. Avery then worked at Sawyer Riley Compton as a Vice President and Group Director from 1989 to 1996, managing a dedicated team and working with clients in various industries. In 1997, they joined The Tombras Group as a Senior Vice President and Group Director, where they currently manage a broad group of clients and focuses on data insights and digital strategies. In addition to their work in the advertising industry, Avery also served as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville from 2000 to 2015.
David Avery attended Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, TN from 1976 to 1980. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and Statistics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 1980 to 1984.
