Doug Brophy

Douglas Brophy is an experienced educator currently serving as the Head of School at The Town School since July 2018. Prior to this role, Douglas Brophy worked as the Academic Dean at The Spence School from June 2008 to June 2018 and held the position of Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs and Director of Upper School at Friends Select School from August 2000 to June 2008. Douglas Brophy earned a Doctorate in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education from Stanford University. Additionally, Douglas Brophy holds a Juris Doctor degree in Labor & Employment Law from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Tulane University. Douglas Brophy completed secondary education at Riverdale Country School.
