Rich Karcher is the current Director of Marketing Strategy at The Trade Desk. Prior to this, they were the Director of Loyalty Marketing for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts from March 2018 to May 2019. In this role, they managed global marketing partnerships for the world’s largest publicly traded hotel franchisor. Rich also oversaw Wyndham Destinations’ “Blue Thread” digital, brand, and product marketing to drive increased tour and sales volume for the world’s largest publicly-traded (and Wyndham-licensed) timeshare company.
Some key highlights during their time at Wyndham include increasing timeshare tours and sales volume by over 30% and 40% respectively, executing customer journey cross-sell outreach communications via regional/lifestyle content, and realigning priorities for two companies in Southeast Asia (post-spin from Wyndham Worldwide) with regional team members of both companies. This resulted in $1 million in cost synergies and $2 million of new revenue opportunities.
Before their role at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Rich Karcher was the Director of Wyndham Vacation Rentals North America from August 2014 to March 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the growth and innovation of the vacation rental business for Wyndham Worldwide. Rich led a team of innovators and product developers who created new business models and launched new products that increased rental revenues by double digits.
Rich Karcher has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Rich has a background in finance and strategy and is currently working as a management consultant.
