Jorge Pérez

Jorge Pérez is an experienced entrepreneur and leader in the field of ecotourism and transformational travel. As the founder of Tierra del Volcan since January 1999, Pérez has facilitated memorable adventures in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. In addition to this role, Pérez serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors and South America Ambassador for the Transformational Travel Council, promoting life-changing travel experiences. Since January 2005, Pérez has owned World Bike Adventures, specializing in mountain bike trips globally. As the Director of Fundación Páramo since January 2003, Pérez is dedicated to protecting the Andean páramo ecosystem, addressing conservation issues surrounding the Cotopaxi volcano. Pérez also has a history of leadership as the President of the Ecuadorian Ecotourism Association from January 2007 to July 2009, contributing to sustainable tourism practices in Ecuador. Jorge Pérez holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
