Ben Coghlan is a seasoned health specialist with extensive experience in public health, currently serving as a Senior Health Specialist at the Asian Development Bank since February 2021. With a long tenure at Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health since 2004, Ben provides technical support for country programs and consults for numerous international organizations on outbreak response and health program evaluation. In addition, Ben holds an adjunct senior lecturer position at Monash University, where responsibilities include lecturing on topics such as refugee health and communicable disease control. Ben's early career includes roles as a public health medical officer and field doctor, complemented by foundational medical positions. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine from James Cook University, a Master of Applied Epidemiology from The Australian National University, and a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
