Genna Williams

Advocacy Associate at The Trevor Project

Genna Williams is currently an Advocacy Associate at The Trevor Project. Prior to that, they interned with the U.S. House of Representatives from February 2019 to January 2020, where they collaborated with the communications department to track, organize, and manage social media accounts. Genna also answered constituent phone calls, sorted mail, drafted correspondence, and addressed concerns of constituents. Additionally, Genna conducted research, drafted co-sponsor memos, and assisted the legislative team on a variety of issues.

Before their time with the U.S. House of Representatives, Genna worked as an Account Associate with Blue Ticket Consulting from January 2018 to August 2018. There, they developed internal and external communications for over a dozen candidates. Additionally, they aided over a dozen candidates in the development and maintenance of a campaign budget. Genna also worked within several databases to compile background information surrounding potential campaign donors.

Genna’s first political experience was as a Field Organizer for Kriseman For Mayor from September 2017 to November 2017.

Genna Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Howard University and an Associate of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from St. Petersburg College.
