Ahmed Abdirahman is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and policy expertise. Currently serving as the founder and CEO of Järvaveckan since August 2016, Ahmed also functions as a Nordic Migrant Expert Forum representative for the Nordic Council of Ministers and Council, an Obama leader for the Obama Foundation, and a David Rockefeller Fellow with The Trilateral Commission. As the founder and CEO of the non-profit Stiftelsen The Global Village, Ahmed focuses on community engagement in areas such as culture, education, and diversity. Previous roles include serving as a Policy Expert at Stockholms Handelskammare, a Cultural Affairs Assistant at the US Embassy in Stockholm, and a Researcher at SVT. Ahmed has also contributed to peacebuilding at Interpeace and managed external relations for the Spånga-Tensta District Administration. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College and a Master’s Degree in International Humanitarian Action from Fordham University.
