Aidan Barry brings a wealth of expertise in entitlements, acquisition, land development and construction to his role at The True Life Companies. As Executive Vice President, Aidan coordinates with EVP Scott Menard on the management and oversight of all properties within the TTLC portfolio to effect timely, successful dispositions for TTLC and its capital partners. This includes directing the initial due diligence on property acquisitions, including existing sites that may currently be industrial or commercial buildings, raw land, and property in any stage of development. He is also responsible for oversight of the process to obtain the necessary land use entitlements that will enhance value for all properties within the Company portfolio. A member of the core Executive Team, Aidan plays a key role in collaborating on development of the Company's strategic business plan.
Prior to joining TTLC, as First Vice President for Catellus Group, Aidan managed land development and construction across Northern California. He served as the General Manager for a partnership between Shea Homes, Shea Properties and Centex Homes, over a five year period beginning in 2002, overseeing Alameda Point, a planned 2,200-acre mixed use development on the San Francisco Bay. Formerly the Naval Air Station Alameda, Aidan worked in partnership with the City of Alameda in negotiations with the United States Navy in order to accomplish the transfer of the shuttered naval air station facility.
Aidan's extensive experience includes six years as Senior Project Manager at the DeSilva Group, a major land development firm based in Dublin, California focusing on redevelopment opportunities throughout Northern California. In addition he served for twelve years as Vice President of Construction for Harbor Bay Isle in Alameda, a master planned community of 1,000 acres supporting 3,000 homes and two million square feet of commercial office facilities.
Aidan's passion for due diligence in acquisition and development, as well as his keen insights for enriching value, make him a valued asset to The True Life Companies. Aidan studied Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Aidan has been married for 28 years and has two amazing daughters.
