Chad Scherer

Chad Scherer serves as Corporate Controller for The True Life Companies, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Scherer is responsible for establishing financial policies and procedures designed to maximize efficiency and accuracy. He directs and supervises the accounting team in the preparation of all financial reports, to ensure timely delivery and accuracy, and works with all departments to develop and monitor departmental budgets.

Mr. Scherer’s experience spans over 25 years, including 5 years at the prominent accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. He later joined First Data Corporation in Denver, a $7.6B revenue electronic commerce and payment services company with international operations. Here he was responsible for SEC reporting functions, quarterly financial reports and presentations, investor relations presentations, and fielding analyst and investor inquiries. Mr. Scherer went on to join M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., Richmond American Homes, as Assistant Controller and then as Vice President/Corporate Controller. His responsibilities included strategic forecasting, planning, oversight of accounts payable, payroll, insurance accounting and compliance, consolidation and SEC reporting, IT-Finance operations and system support, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
