As Managing Director of the Sacramento region of California, Derek Spalding is currently heading The True Life Companies acquisition efforts in the Sacramento and Central Valley of California. He has extensive experience in acquisition, development and construction, having managed residential projects in this market arena since 1993.

Derek's considerable experience in land acquisition and forward planning is complemented by his thorough research and due diligence capabilities. As Manager of Land Acquisition at KB Home and Vice President at DR Horton, he was instrumental in the acquisition and development of over 4,000 lots in the region, managing projects beginning with preliminary research, through financial analysis and market feasibility. He also provided strategies on project segmentation, market capture and product recommendations.
