Shelby Semmes serves as the Northern New England area director for The Trust for Public Land, leading the teams and mission delivery across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. She previously served as the Vermont/New Hampshire state director, as project manager in the California office of The Trust for Public Land, and as an independent consultant focused on the conservation sector’s alignment with impact investment. Semmes holds a BA from Barnard College and a Master of Forestry degree from the Yale School of Environment where she was a Doris Duke Conservation Fellow.
