Melissa Jade Murphy

Melissa Jade Murphy is an experienced educator with a focus on leadership coaching and professional development within the NYC Department of Education since August 2007. In various roles, including Teacher Leadership Coach and AP for All Teacher Leadership Coach, Melissa has designed and facilitated programs to enhance teacher leadership and promote equitable access to Advanced Placement courses for high school students. Additional contributions include serving as a UFT Teacher Assigned Executive Board Member and collaborating with Google Apps for Education as a Coach and Trainer, connecting teachers with innovative technology practices. Melissa holds a Master's degree in Science Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Education from Queens College.
