Shartina Thompson

Shartina Thompson, M.F.A., is an accomplished Graphics Director at the United Federation of Teachers since October 2018, with extensive experience in graphic design and project management. Thompson leads a graphic design team focused on creating engaging content for various UFT events and campaigns while developing branding guidelines and innovative experiences for members. Previous roles include Senior Graphic Designer at UFT, Graphic Designer at DeSales Media Group, and Photo Coordinator at Gilt.com, among others. Thompson's educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Technology in Communication Design and Advertising, and an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design & Illustration. Throughout Thompson's career, the ability to manage workflows, collaborate with diverse teams, and adapt to evolving challenges, such as transitioning events to virtual formats during the pandemic, has been consistently demonstrated.
