Tamer Youssef has extensive experience in electrical engineering and academia. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Bridgeport and the University of New Haven since 2012, Tamer teaches advanced courses such as “Power Systems Protection and Relaying” and “Power Electronics.” Additionally, Tamer works with UI / EEHC as a planning experience and system studies manager, leading projects like the Ten Year Load Forecast and developing electric power system capacity plans. Proficient in various simulation software, including PSS/E and CYMDIST, Tamer also provides consultation and technical support, evaluates electric system designs for interconnections, and engages with governmental authorities on regulatory matters. Tamer holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Bridgeport, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Electrical Power and Machines Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.
