Katherine “Katie” Connell

Jiao (Katherine) Jiao(Katherine) is a software engineer with extensive experience in developing high-performance platforms and technologies. Currently at Cisco since August 2021, Jiao has architected an online platform featuring advanced AI capabilities, including text-to-speech conversion and video editing. Prior to Cisco, Jiao worked at Walmart from October 2018 to August 2021, focusing on a secure J2EE and Spring Boot platform and implementing a Kafka-based event processing system. From February 2016 to October 2018, Jiao contributed to Expedia Group by developing a web application to enhance travel accommodation searches and personalized user experiences. Jiao holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Chongqing University of Post and Telecommunications.
