Cade Smith

Interim Director, Athletics at The University of Alabama in Huntsville

Cade Smith is the current interim Director of Athletics at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Cade has previously served as a worship minister at Windsong Church of Christ and as the principal of academics at Central Arkansas Christian Schools. From 2006 to 2007, they were a teacher and coach at Jackson Christian School, where they taught Chemistry and Physics and coached Basketball, Football, and Baseball.

Cade Smith's educational career began with a Master of Science in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Cade then went on to earn a Doctor of Education from Harding University, followed by a Program of Study in Educational Leadership and Administration from the same school. Cade also holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Harding University, as well as a degree in General Science/Chemistry from the same institution. Finally, Cade is a graduate of Crowley's Ridge Academy.

Cade Smith reports to Charles L. Karr, President. Some direct reports include Tyler Shimizu - Head, Strength & Conditioning Coach, John Shulman - Head Men's Basketball Coach, and James Manning - Operations & Facility Assistant. They are on a team with Todd M. Barré - VP, Finance & Administration, Robert Lindquist - VP, Research & Economic Development, and Cathy Kholanjani - Executive Assistant to the President.
