John McDaniel

John McDaniel is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in internal audit and financial management. Currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit for The University of Alabama System since September 2018, McDaniel previously held the same role at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from January 2014 to August 2018. Earlier career positions include Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Vanderbilt University and Director of Budgeting and Finance at Bridgestone Americas. McDaniel began their professional journey as a Manager at Deloitte. Academic achievements include a Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from The University of Alabama in August 2023 and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lipscomb University, completed in 1988.
