Andrew Richardson has a diverse work experience. Andrew is currently the Director of Information Technology for the Arts and Sciences department at The University of Alabama. Prior to this role, they served as the Assistant Director of Instructional Media and Program Manager for the Innovation Team at the university. In these roles, they focused on utilizing technology to enhance courses and develop innovative solutions.
Before joining The University of Alabama, Andrew worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Office of Information Technology. Andrew was responsible for managing all communication efforts, including print materials, digital content, and website redesign.
Prior to their time in the Office of Information Technology, Andrew served as the Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations for the College of Community Health Sciences at The University of Alabama. Andrew coordinated annual giving, maintained alumni relations, managed the Board of Visitors, and handled external and internal communication efforts. Additionally, they worked as the Coordinator of Continuing Medical Education for the same college, managing day-to-day CME efforts and facilitating certification for lecture series and special events.
Before their roles at The University of Alabama, Andrew gained experience as a Web and Media Communications Specialist for the College of Community Health Sciences, where they focused on the web presence and creative media capabilities of the advancement/communications group.
In addition to their university experience, Andrew also worked as an Operations Assistant for Alabama Public Radio and as a Multimedia Editor and Producer for The Crimson White, where they gained valuable media production experience.

Andrew Richardson is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Instructional Leadership/Instructional Technology at The University of Alabama, which they expect to complete in 2024. Andrew previously earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Telecommunication and Film and a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama.
