Candace Peters

Candace Peters possesses extensive experience in academic advising and professional development, currently serving as an Academic Advisor III and Professional Development Instructor at The University of Alabama since October 2008. In this role, Candace provides holistic advising to approximately 1,000 Accounting majors each semester and teaches courses focused on career preparation and academic success. Previously held positions include Program Assistant, where event planning and student recruitment were key responsibilities, as well as Administrative Assistant to the VP for Business Affairs at Samford University, managing board interactions and departmental financial accounting. Additional experience includes office management at Argo Family Dentistry and serving as a Degree Audit Specialist at Samford University. Candace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Sociology, a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Psychology at The University of Alabama.
