Karnesh Jain

Karnesh Jain is a skilled Research Software Engineer at The University of Alabama since April 2021, where notable achievements include the development of a full-stack GIS web application using Django and the creation of a cloud-based data pipeline that significantly improved data query efficiency. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of North Dakota, Karnesh developed a deep learning model for breast cancer tumor detection, achieving high prediction accuracy, and contributed to simulation algorithms for understanding Parkinson’s disease. Karnesh also served as a Research Associate at the University at Buffalo, enhancing simulation efficiency through the creation of Monte Carlo simulation software and data analysis packages. Early career experience includes an engineering role at Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals LTD in India, focused on SQL database development for material balance. Karnesh holds a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo and a B.Tech from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur.
