Kun Lu is currently serving as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Programs and Associate Professor at The University of Alabama since August 2025. Prior to this position, Kun Lu was an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma from August 2013 to August 2025, and also held the role of Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from September 2008 to August 2012, where responsibilities included teaching undergraduate courses in Information Architecture and Database Information Retrieval. Experience also includes a tenure as an Associate Professor at Wuhan University in 2012. Kun Lu earned a Ph.D. in Information Science/Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2008-2012), a Master’s degree in Information Science from Wuhan University (2006-2008), and a Bachelor of Science in Information Management from Wuhan University (2002-2006).
