Susan Norton

Susan Norton has extensive experience in the field of human resources. Susan is currently working at The University of Alabama as the Senior Associate Vice President for Human Resources & CHRO. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Human Resources at Augusta University & Health System. Susan was responsible for managing the human resources department at Augusta University and its affiliated hospitals. Before that, they served as the Associate Vice President, HR at Georgia Health Sciences University, where they provided leadership and direction to all University HR services and programs.

Susan Norton has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from Georgia Southern University, which they obtained between 1990 and 1992. Susan also holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of South Carolina. In addition, they have obtained certifications such as SPHR from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in October 2017 and the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in October 2020.
