Suzanne Prevost is a highly experienced academic and healthcare leader, currently serving as a Professor and Former Dean at The University of Alabama since August 2013. Previously, Suzanne held the position of International President at The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International from November 2011 to November 2013, and served as Associate Dean at the University of Kentucky from July 2008 to July 2013. Additional experience includes roles such as National HealthCare Chair for Geriatrics at Middle Tennessee State University from 1998 to 2008, Board Member at the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses from 2000 to 2004, and Director of Outcomes Evaluation and Nursing Education at the University of Texas Medical Branch from 1993 to 1998. Suzanne began a career in nursing education as an Associate Professor at Northwestern State University from 1990 to 1993 and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System from 1987 to 1990. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Nursing from Texas Woman's University, among several other degrees in nursing and gerontology from various institutions.
