Rita Williams

Vice President For Financial Services at The University of Arizona Foundation

Rita Williams has extensive work experience in financial services, primarily in the University of Arizona Foundation. Rita started working at the foundation in 1988 as an Assistant Comptroller and later became the Comptroller. In this role, they were responsible for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating the financial and accounting work of the foundation. Rita also maintained financial reporting policies and procedures to ensure effective internal control and compliance with accounting principles. In 2008, they were appointed as the Vice President for Financial Services, where they continued their responsibilities as Comptroller. Prior to joining the University of Arizona Foundation, Rita worked as a Financial Accountant at the Tucson Athletic Club from 1983 to 1987.

Rita Williams pursued their education at the University of Iowa and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting from 1977 to 1981. Prior to that, they attended The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 1972 to 1976 and completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
