Daniel Flick

Daniel Flick is currently a PhD student in Data Science, Statistics, and AI at the University of Arizona, a position held since August 2023 after retiring from the industry. Previously, Daniel served as Chief Actuary at Monitor Liability Managers and Berkley Select from 2011 to March 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing pricing and reserving functions, implementing growth strategies, and communicating financial updates to the CFO. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Actuary at CNA Financial Corp from 2006 to October 2011, managing pricing for US Specialty Lines with approximately $4 billion in gross written premium, and holding the role of Vice President at Kemper Insurance from 1999 to 2003, focusing on actuarial and underwriting responsibilities for medical programs. Daniel holds an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago, an MS in Statistics from Purdue University, and a BA in Mathematics from Thomas More University.
