Nadia Alvarez Mexia

Nadia Alvarez Mexia, PhD, serves as the Assistant Director of Learning Development and Community Involvement at the University of Arizona, alongside roles as Affiliate Faculty in the Center for Latin American Studies and CoDirector of the Borderlands Education Center. With an extensive background in higher education, Nadia has held various positions including Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Education, Director of multiple initiatives related to Latin American education, and Visiting Professor at UNIMINUTO Colombia. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Teaching & Teacher Education from the University of Arizona, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Management of Information Technology and Information Systems from Tecnológico de Monterrey, respectively. Nadia's career is characterized by a commitment to curriculum development, teaching, and cross-border educational initiatives.
