Jason M. Kane

Jason M. Kane, MD, MS, FAAP, FCCM has extensive experience in the field of pediatric critical care medicine. Jason M. started their career at Children's Memorial Hospital in 2006 where they served as a Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist and also held the position of Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In 2010, Dr. Kane moved to Rush University Medical Center where they worked as a Pediatric and Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist and later became the Patient Safety Officer at Rush Children's Hospital. In 2015, Dr. Kane joined the University of Chicago as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and also took on the role of Director of PICU Quality and Outcomes at UChicago Medicine. Jason M. served as the Associate Medical Director of PICU and the Interim Chief of Section of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Kane's expertise and leadership have made significant contributions to the field of pediatric critical care medicine.

Jason M. Kane, MD, MS, FAAP, FCCM received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish Language and Literature with a Biology Minor from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994. Jason M. then attended Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1999. In 2009, they completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety from Northwestern University. In addition to their degrees, Dr. Kane holds various certifications including a Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society of Quality, and board certifications in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and General Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics, obtained in 2006 and 2002 respectively.
