Jeff Murphy, DNP, RN, CEN, NEA-BC has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Jeff began their career at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 2009. In 2010, they joined Advocate Health Care as an Assistant Clinical Manager in the Emergency Department.
In 2012, Jeff took on a role as a Clinical Manager in the Emergency Department at Tri-City Medical Center. Later that year, they also started working as a Registered Nurse at Scripps Health.
In 2014, Jeff transitioned to Presence Health where they served as a Nursing Manager in the Emergency Department at Presence Saint Francis. Jeff later moved on to become the Director of Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Emergency, and Trauma Services, and eventually served as the Interim Chief Nursing Officer.
In 2018, Jeff joined UChicago Medicine as the Director of Emergency Services. Jeff later became the Executive Director of Emergency and Trauma Services before taking on their current role as the Vice President of Women's, Children's, and Emergency Services as well as Associate Chief Nursing Officer.
Jeff Murphy, DNP, RN, CEN, NEA-BC completed their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Leadership and Systems Innovation at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Nursing/Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix between 2010 and 2013. Jeff holds a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Creighton University and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Iowa. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) and as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) from the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
