Ken Nunes

Ken Nunes has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Ken began their career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia Ken'sfrom 2000 to 2003. Ken then moved on to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where they served as an Assistant Professor from 2003 to 2009. In 2010, Ken joined UChicago Medicine as an Associate Professor and later took on the role of Section Chief General Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2016 to 2019. During their time at UChicago Medicine, they also held the position of Vice President and Chief Ambulatory Medical Officer, overseeing multiple hospital- and physician-based sites, managing over 1000 providers, and partnering with various leaders to deliver high-quality care. In 2018, they joined The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine as an Associate Chief Medical Officer, focusing on system integrations in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital.

Ken Nunes graduated from Duke University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology. Ken then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine degree. Following this, Ken Nunes completed their Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the University of Virginia from 1996 to 2000. In 2002, they obtained certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
