Samantha Ruokis

Vice President, Clinical Performance Excellence at The University of Chicago Medical Center

Samantha Ruokis has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Samantha started their career as a Management Engineer co-op at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2007. Samantha later became a Management Engineer Coordinator and then a Management Engineer, holding these positions until 2014.

In 2014, they joined UChicago Medicine as a Quality Program Manager and later became a Manager of Quality Performance Improvement. In 2017, they were promoted to the role of Director of Quality Performance Improvement. Samantha then served as the Executive Director of Quality Performance Improvement, Risk, and Safety from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Clinical Performance Excellence at UChicago Medicine.

Samantha Ruokis earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University between 2005 and 2010. Samantha also completed a Study Abroad Program at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach from Gallup in June 2017.
