Chandra Man Karki serves as a Chemical Safety Officer at the University of Chicago since January 2020, bringing significant experience in laboratory safety and research. Previously, at the University of South Dakota from January 2016 to January 2020, Chandra held multiple roles, including Graduate Student Researcher, where synthesis of hollow manganese oxide nanoparticles and training in laboratory safety were key responsibilities. In addition, Chandra managed hazardous waste in compliance with EPA guidelines as Environment Health Safety Lead, developed training programs for students, and supported international students as First International Ambassador. Chandra also fostered community as the Founding President of the Nepalese Students Association at USD, enhancing cultural unity and inclusiveness among peers. Chandra holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota.
