Joyce Kuechler

Joyce Kuechler is an experienced professional in the field of visual arts and higher education, currently serving as the Associate Director of Visual Arts at the University of Chicago since July 2011. In this role, Joyce Kuechler manages academic, administrative, and operational functions while collaborating with faculty and stakeholders to advance departmental initiatives. Previous positions include Associate Dean of Students for the Humanities Division, where Joyce Kuechler oversaw registration and financial aid for graduate students, and Coordinator for the Department of Art History, with responsibilities for strategic planning and operational improvements. Prior experience includes roles at The Newberry Library, The Art Institute of Chicago, and The Museum of Modern Art. Joyce Kuechler holds a Master's degree in Art History and a Bachelor's degree in Art History and Gender and Women's Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with an Executive Program for Emerging Leaders from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
