Karen Pekow

Karen Pekow currently serves as the Executive Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations at the University of Chicago, a position held since January 2020. Prior to this role, Karen accrued extensive experience at UChicago Medicine from June 2007 to December 2019, where various titles included Managing Director and Director in Foundation and Corporate Relations, as well as Senior and Associate Director in Foundation Relations. Earlier professional experience includes the position of Grants and Communications Manager at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children from September 2003 to May 2007, and serving as Deputy Director at Working in the Schools from May 2000 to July 2003. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Women's Studies from Tulane University, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
