Kursti Eaves

Kursti Ropp is a Primate Neuroscience Research Specialist and Lab Manager at the University of Chicago since February 2023, with extensive experience in veterinary and animal care roles. Ropp has served as an Area Coordinator and Group Leader at the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind since August 2017, and held positions as a Veterinary Technician at Georgia Veterinary Associates and The Village Animal Hospital. Previous roles include Veterinary Assistant at VCA Animal Hospitals, Animal Care Technician at Emory University, Environmental Educator at Stone Mountain Memorial Association, and Naturalist/Animal Care Intern at Sandy Creek Nature Center. Earlier work experience includes roles at Outback Steakhouse and Walt Disney World, contributing to customer service and sales. Ropp earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources with an emphasis on Wildlife Sciences from The University of Georgia from 2013 to 2019.
