Lucas McAuley is the Assistant Secretary for Board Operations and Records at The University of Chicago. Lucas has previously worked as a Technology Consultant, Rock Climbing Instructor, Patient Services Intern, and Communications Marketing Intern.

Lucas McAuley developed their interest in technology while working as a Technology Consultant, where they created and updated websites using the Drupal and Joomla content management systems. Lucas also utilized SQL database to create and maintain client’s personnel and manufacturing information. In addition to their work in website development and management, Lucas McAuley also facilitated company-wide technology use and managed technology inventory for the Erie Plating Company.

Before their career in technology, Lucas McAuley was a Rock Climbing Instructor at Lifetime Fitness. There, they developed climbing programs to instruct students in a variety of different skill groups. Lucas also informed students on techniques and safety procedures needed for rock climbing, as well as educated club members on rock climbing procedures.

Lucas McAuley began their journey in the medical field as a Patient Services Intern at OSF HealthCare. There, they gained experience in patient care and medical office procedures. Lucas then went on to work as a Communications Marketing Intern at Brookfield Zoo, where they assisted with the development of marketing materials and communications strategies.

Lucas McAuley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Lucas McAuley reports to Katie Callow-Wright, VP, Secretary & Chief of Staff, Office of the President. They are on a team with Maria Romanucci - Director of Administration and Operations, Megan Harris - Assistant Vice President, and Geertrui Spaepen - Associate Secretary of the University.
