Neel McNeill

Neel McNeill has extensive experience in theater management and leadership roles across various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as Executive Director of Definition Theatre Company since October 2013 and Managing Director of Theater and Performance Studies at the University of Chicago since October 2018, Neel has also held multiple marketing and management positions at Steppenwolf Theatre Company from August 2012 to September 2018, including Marketing & Memberships Manager. Previous roles include Patron Services Associate and House Manager at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company and Box Office Manager at Howard University's Ira Aldridge Theatre. Neel's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Social Sector Leadership and Nonprofit Management from the University of Chicago, completed in 2022, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management from Howard University, earned in 2012.
