Susan Sher

Senior Adviser To The President

Susan Sher serves as the Senior Adviser to the President at The University of Chicago since 2011 and is a member of the Board of Trustees for both The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, Susan Sher holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Partnership for a Healthier America. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the First Lady at The White House from 2009 to 2011, as well as holding roles at University of Chicago Medicine as VP for Legal and Governmental Affairs and General Counsel, and at the City of Chicago as Corporation Counsel and First Assistant Corporation Counsel. Susan Sher began a legal career at Mayer Brown as a partner after serving as Associate General Counsel at The University of Chicago. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree from The George Washington University and law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, along with studies at Smith College.
